  • I was shopping at Neiman Marcus on Friday and discovered a couple great products that I have to recommend.

Bobbi Brown Lip Color in Ultra Beige

Bobbi Brown Lip Gloss in Beige

If you have naturally high-pigmented lips that always look somewhat reddish-pink (like me) no matter what lip products you put on, and want to attain a neutral lip color for a look, you have to try these. BB Lip Color delivers a creamy, semi-matte coverage that will help conceal your too-red or too-pink natural lip color without looking thick or heavy. BB Lip Gloss contains botanical extracts including avocado, jojoba, chamomile oils, and aloe extracts that help keep lips enriched and soft.

The ultimate look is a flattering lip color that makes your lips look beautiful but does not become the center of attention. My natural reddish-pink lip color sometimes throws the balance off. I'm not a girl who is usually a fan of lip colors, and the idea of using lipsticks never really appealed to me. However, I love this combination of shades of beige because it complements my emphasis on eyes, lashes, and cheeks very well.

I am also currently in love with this:

It's SAVING my skin in these winter months! \^^/

  • Achievement

This morning, when I walked into Starbucks at 8:23am, I was immediately asked by the barista "What size?" instead of "What would you like?" This morning, I became the "Tall, hot coffee, bold blend and yes room for cream" girl.

    Finally!

  • Makes No Sense

I didn't know that Starbucks doesn't offer free wireless. A couple days ago, I brought my laptop to a small Starbucks on Middlefield and realized that in order to use the internet, you have to have a T-Mobile account and PAY for it. I thought that Starbucks was an exception since it was small and dinky and probably needed to charge people for internet use or else it'll go under. Earlier today, I went to the Starbucks on El Camino. It was HUGE and packed and busier than I've ever seen it. You still had to pay for internet. I thought that was pretty stupid.

One guy sat down next to me after I've been reading for a couple hours and became very frustrated by the fact that he couldn't get internet access. He turned to me and said, "Excuse me, how do you get on the internet here?"

"You need to have a T-Mobile account," I replied.

I got a look of bewilderment.

"I thought Starbucks offer free wireless."

    "Yeah, I thought so, too."

The guy proceeded to curse and pound keys on his laptop. "How come we need a T-Mobile account?"

I assumed he was asking me because there wasn't really anyone else around. "I don't know," I said. I got the feeling that he wanted to hold me personally responsible for his inconvenience.

Seriously. Maybe they should thinking of making the switch.

  • Yay! My hair feels so much better now!

The weather has been unreal. It's been raining for nearly 3 weeks!!! I don't even bother blowing out my hair anymore. It's just going to get messed up once I go outside. My hair's been in a ponytail/bun for weeks because it's so long. I'm getting a haircut on Tuesday ... FINALLY. Can't wait. Going to chop some hair off and get new look instead of this boring & repetitive up-do.

  • Mumbles & Grumbles on a Raining Day.

Today, I wish I was an octopus and had 8 arms so I can carry my bag, books, coffee and still hold an umbrealla over my head.

Today, I never appreciated a hot cup of Starbucks bold blend more.

Today, I realized spending $10 on an umbrella at Walgreens is like throwing your money away. Umbrellas ought to be an investment.

Leave you with something black & white in real life but pretty ...

  • Acquired new skills!

I'm happy! I finally learned how to use the new layout editing system that Xanga forced me to use. My page is not boring anymore. If I learn how to code I can probably make it more interesting but for now, this is enough. Doing these simple things took me an entire night.

  • When you cannot fall asleep ...

Classes start next week and I've been trying to fix my sleeping schedule to prepare myself. It hasn't been working too well. When you can't fall asleep when you want to, your mind starts to think about random things ...

I'm really thankful for this summer because I've had a lot of time to think about my next steps and weigh my options. The plan has always been going to law school right after finishing my co-term, but now, I've decided that I don't want to do that anymore. Going down this new path makes me a little bit scared but I feel like it's something that I must do for myself. The thought of interviewing for a job, getting a job and working a job is very intimidating. I really don't know what I'm qualified for. And, I really don't know why I was so stubborn talking on the phones with my parents about this. I just feel like this is something I want and should do for myself, and I see this decision as an option that I have, not a choice I'm forced to make. I just hope I'm not going to regret this ...

Also, been spending time with people who are worth it and who care about me. It's one of the happiest feelings in the world when I can enjoy the company of friends without any added stress or pressure. I'm so done with pretense and hypocrisy, and the feeling that I must put on a smile when I really actually just want to give up and walk away quickly. Regardless of what I end up doing after this year, I must cherish my last year at Stanford as a student and live it in a way that makes me happy.

LSAT is in a little more than a week ... But it's allllmost over!
